Fit for Lending - Business support
A new business support scheme, backed by Essex County Council (ECC) has been launched under the banner 'Fit for Lending'.
The programme is being delivered through the Basildon Enterprise Agency (BDLEA) whereby qualifying Essex businesses can receive 8 hours of intensive business support. 'Fit for lending' is targeted at Essex SME's who are to apply for bank lending through the 'Banking on Essex' scheme or who are not applying for a loan.
Although the title of the scheme is obviously aimed at businesses who are considering applying for a loan from the Bank of Essex, the purpose at the various Essex Enterprise Agencies is to offer an overall business review and support.
Support provided covers areas including market research, financial projections, business strategies, operational planning, sales performance, HR and risk analysis.
What does it cost?
8 hours of 1 to 1 business support is available for the cost of just £100, the majority balance funded by ECC.
This is available only through the various Essex Enterprise Agencies.
Who is the funding for?
To qualify, your business must be an SME, have been in business for 12 months and pay business rates to an ECC local council, (it does not cover Southend & Thurrock who are untitary authorities) .
